Methodology for determining misinformation in a given medium

  1. Semantic Visions

With a military intelligence system, OSINT, Semantic Visions provides advanced semantic analysis of big data. This is used to connect, analyze and connect billions of online news articles in 12 world languages (from over 900,000 publicly available online news sources). It then turns this cluster of information into a unique knowledge base built on higher-level meanings (thousands of so-called semantic categories) that supports the identification of online trends, narratives and threats.

The company monitors 90% of online news content from around the world, which is analyzed and updated every 30 minutes. That’s more than 1 million online news articles and blog posts every day.

  2. Foundation for Independent Journalism

Foundation for Independent Journalism is focused on three characteristics that it considers essential in its assessment of the credibility of the website: transparency of the medium, fair use of resources, and professional handling of the message. This methodology does not assess the level of disinformation, but how sources and text are handled. Since a considerable amount of disinformation is spread in part because of the unprofessional work of some journalists and newsrooms, this methodology in the fight against disinformation is absolutely indispensable.

  3. Konšpirátori.sk

The credibility of a given website is examined by a committee (writer / political scientist / publicist / artist / doctor / biologist / teacher / historian…) based on its beliefs about the social usefulness of the media in question, thus creating a rating of all monitored websites.

Based on these 3 approaches, we create intersections of websites that overlap in each analysis and thus are the most toxic in terms of disinformation content

Proč považovat Parlamentní listy za dezinformační zdroj:

  • ochota zveřejnit zjevné nesmysly, manipulativní a tendenční
  • ohýbání společenských témat prostřednictvím prokazatelně dezinformačních narativů
  • prodej podpory politiků jednajících v symbióze s dezinformační scénou
